How do I install a package to my server?

Method One:

1. Step one: unzip the package on to your desktop (preferably in a folder, call it “mypackage”).
   
2. Step two: Open your FTP client and enter your sites ftp URL, username, and password, where applicable. (you may need to speak with your host regarding the FTP user info)
   
3. Step three: navigate to the folder/directory where your web files are held.
   
4. Step Four: upload the unzipped contents into that folder (the insides of the “mypackage” folder, not the “mypackage” folder).
   

Navigate to your domain. The installer should automatically start. You'll need to give it database information so make sure you have a database ready. At the end you'll be asked to delete the installation directory, use your FTP to delete that folder on you Host after the process is finished.

Method two:

If you host provides a one-click install, choose Joomla 1.5 and use that one-click install to create the database info for you. Then follow the steps above, our package will automatically populate the database fields for you. When FTPing your files to your host using this method, put all our package files on top of your one click install files, it will ask you whether you should overwrite or not, choose overwrite for all the files.
