There are alot of free templates out there. We suggest you leave them alone becasue they will only be trouble later. If you are looking for a standards compliant free joomla template, then you might as well look for unicorns, they are just as rare. IE7 compliant templates are pretty standard, it is ie6 compliant templates that are hard to find as ie6 has a lot of issues with modern websites, most notably transparent pngs. When looking for a Joomla 1.5 template that is free and ie7, ie6, and firefox compliant, keep in mind these things are rarities. You are better off spending $50 on a professional Joomla template that is by default standards compliant( ie6 compliant, ie7 compliant, ie8 compliant, opera compliant, mac, compliant, firefox compliant). Its just worth the money. Or you can just keep on searching for unicorns.
