Video is becoming more and more popular these days. FLV is probably the best format out there for your website because it is highly compressed and runs natively in a flash viewer. More importantly you want to make sure a 1 min video is not 100,000 Megabytes because it was in some uncompressed format. That video downloaded 100 times is a Gig of traffic! Not only can a Gig of traffic cost you extra money with a host but it can slow down your site. Some hosts only allow 20 concurrent users. If 20 people come to your site and download that video it will take them 5 - 10 minutes to download the video depending upon their connection. This means that your site will be unavailable to other users until a connection becomes available. Optimize your videos.
